SHANE BURRELL

DIRECTOR
Shane Burrell
Shane is the CEO and one of the brothers who started the business. He’s the captain that lost a toe on a ride-on lawn mower (cutting the grass too short?) and who’s passionate about producing outstanding creative work that makes a difference and changes people's lives. A busy man at work and at home with his young family, Shane still finds time to chase his dreams, and loves the idea of surfing and occasionally getting a board wet. His motto for the company? Surround your self with motivated and passionate people, individuals that are far more talented than you are!

LUKE BURRELL

DIRECTOR
Luke Burrell
A fellow brother and director, a very talented conceptualiser and designer who started his creative career at a very early age, collecting a formidable collection of brochures. These days he runs the Mezzanine studio, and is a nit-picker for making sure all the creative work produced is of the highest calibre. As he would say, “To be a great designer you have to be a dreamer, to be a dreamer you have to think differently”.

MIKE CAMPBELL

MARKETING STRATEGIST
Mike Campbell
Mike has travelled north from Sydney and now calls Newcastle home (still struggling that there is no professional AFL team in Newcastle). He is a new member of the fatherhood club with a passion for music, trying to perfect the art of surfing and all things vintage. At Mezzanine he is the marketing man and keeps the designers on their toes.

NIKKI WRIGHT

ART DIRECTOR
Nikki Wright
Ask Nikki about the passions in her life and she will say motherhood, design and coffee. On most days of the week you will find her trying to juggle all three, literally. When she's not leading the design team, you'll find her in the line up at the coffee shop, or upstairs fine-tuning her debating skills with the Directors. Witty and organised, with an enviable ability to make things look good, Nikki brings to Mezzanine admirable design, an iPod full of 80's tunes, and plenty of laughs.

BEC DUJIN

ACCOUNT MANAGER
Bec Dujin
After spending 7 years away fine-tuning her communication, marketing and media skills, Bec’s clicked her leather boots together and exclaimed “There’s no place like home!” An account manageress with a passion to deliver the best to our clients, she’s excited to be back on the sunny shores of Newcastle close to her loved ones. Ordinarily you’ll find her trying to feed everyone within a 5km radius, planning her next big trip, bopping along to her iPod or cramming as much live entertainment into her weekends (and ok, ok, weeknights too) as possible.

NATHAN GRAY

DESIGNER
NATHAN GRAY
A self-confessed video game nerd, Nathan spent a lot of time during his school life messing around with graphics when he should have been studying. He was more than happy to realise that it’s possible to make a living from his hobby and has loved it ever since. Nathan has also become Mezzanine’s piñata when it comes to fashion, spotted wearing white socks with black pants – the horror (thanks Mike).

MICHAEL PEARSON

SENIOR DEVELOPER
Michael Pearson
Mike is one of those clever people with a decade of experience in software development, and who’s played a major role in producing all of Mezzanine-media’s leading web solutions. When he’s not wandering around cyberspace, Mike’s a keen golfer (even in the rain - pathetic really) he’s also a mean astro-photographer.

ROHIE FOLEY

ADMIN & ACCOUNTS
Rohie Foley
The hostess with the mostest, Rohie has transformed the way we do business. No one can get by the front desk without being offered a bikky and a good conversation. Our clients are definitely feeling the love… As a little girl, Rohie dreamt of becoming a professional ballet dancer, but fate landed her at our doorstep and we are pleased to say the least! She’s got the chocoholic box ticked, but we’re yet to convince her that coffee is an essential part of breakfast (lunch and dinner). Rohie wants to visit all corners of the world by the time she’s 80.

HELEN WORRALL

DESIGNER
Helen Worrall
Meet an amazing Pom, self confessed nerd and life long house renovator, who thinks she does all the boring stuff in the office no one else wants to do! Wrong! Helen toils over the detail that’s so crucial to a business like ours. She spell checks everything, is a stickler for the correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence construction.

JOEL COLTHORPE

PRODUCER
Joel Colthorpe
Joel. The super-friendly media producer, colourist, editor & cinema guy from upstairs. He’s surprised by the love he has for his job – he’s been inspired by film ever since he saw 'E.T' as a kid. Joel immerses himself in anything from the 70's or 80's, and the harder his friends laugh, the more he loves it. He’s passionate about vinyl records, and doesn’t understand why cars don't come with record players in the dash. When the going gets tough, you’ll find him with his drum kit.

HOLLY CLAYTON

PRODUCER
Holly Clayton
